Someone I know recently did the CFAT with a group whose files were all received after all naval trades closed. They were told that their files were deemed "inactive" because of that and they could reapply later.
This someone did very well on the CFAT, has excellent grades, is a mature individual and (acting upon the advice of the first recruiter this person spoke to) already has a seat at an approved SEP college for January.
The new folks at the recruitment centre explained that this is the process once trades close, and told this person to call back in December to see if anything opened up.
I'm skeptical and quite concerned. After following this site for a few months, it's my understanding that this is a long process and without the medical and the interview, etc., there's no way on earth this person will get a call just weeks before the program starts, saying "OK, come on in."
This person would like to go back to the recruitment centre to talk about reactivating the file if at all possible, but is unsure how to approach it without appearing pushy and disrespectful.
Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.
