My Mid Feb statement states I have $5100 in my closing balance.  Would that indicate that I should be recieving approx that amount on my next pay (barring any further deductions)?

If the clerk wasn't clearing out herself I'd ask her.  Still confused.  Ah well.

In my experience, if there's a dollar figure in your closing balance, that's what you should be seeing at the end of the month, or your next pay. That is of course, if you don't have any other deductions. This http://www.admfincs.forces.gc.ca/militaryPay/payInsert/description.pdf describes the blocks in your pay statement for anyone who doesn't quite know how to read it.... :)

The closing balance should/would be your End Month pay, but as mentioned above depending if no other adjustment goes through.

The only way to be sure is to see your pay clerk.

LWQ:

That would normally be paid at end-month.  However, the amount seems a bit elevated (depnding on your rank, spec pay, and possible allowances).  Your pay statement should indicate what all has been put into your pay account.  You should verify that all is correct; because, unlikely as it may be :) , there are times when people's pay gets messed up.

dp its elevated most likely do to my being in A Stan.  Thanks though I know the Army is quick to get their money back.

Since your in "A Stan", that brings out other questions then as the "closing balance" includes your allowances as well. The amount which will be sent to the bank at the End Month will be "pre-determined", in such specifically set. Thus the amount you are reading includes your End Feb pay, but also your allowances which are not likely to be sent to the account.

Only way to find out is to have your clerk look at your pre-determined pay to confirm the amount is as was set, that it has not been changed.

Yes, she will gladly explain why the amount you can spend is ,......well nothing. >:D
