i have a small probably stupid question...
(although stupid questions are better the stupid mistakes)

i have just been accepted for infantry RCR, i start august 16 2005...and I'm really excited because I've wanted to join for a while...if you look at my profile i was in the Reserves, and i love the army, ...probably because i play to many video games ;)

anyway, I'm going to st-jeans Quebec (sorry if i spelt it wrong) and i was just wondering....whats it like up there?

and when I'm up there, what ways can i stay in touch with my friends and family?

Do a search, theres lots of threads on St Jean, an on staying in touch with friends an family.

Use the pay phones, be prepared to buy lots of phone cards from the canex, I hated St Jean personally but you may like it.

Hmmm...is your interest in the infantry based on your love of video games? The Canadian Infantry is not based on a Command and Conquer or Rainbow Six strategy and you won't get to say "Ranger Here!", "Army's Elite!", "Infantry reporting!" or "Tango Down" every time you get out in the field. You might wanna augment your post there dude cuz from what you said...you were in the Reserves...it wasn't a posting to the "Rhienland" in Medal of Honor: Allied Assault with a Ninjasniper was it?

I didnt want to start a new thread so ill just put it here. Im not yet able to apply for the reserves (too young) but i plan to join shortly after my 16th birthday. but since ill not have graduated high school and will still have school is it possalbe for them to give me a summer trannig date or should i wait till like decemder to put in my paperwork soi that i might get the summer basic course?
