I took work off today to visit a recruiting center with questions regarding NCM-SEP but didn't really get the response or answers I was looking for. He suggested that NCM-SEP was a bad idea and that you're very limited in what you can take and the jobs you can do, that I should join the forces and then once I'm in I can go back and do any education I want and that the forces would pay the bill. I can't find any information confirming this and I am a little confused. If I join wouldn't they send me to basic and then continued training and then put me to work? Where would be the time for education in this scenario?
I own a house and have a daughter so I can't just quit work and go back to school which is why I thought NCM-SEP would be the perfect scenario. I would be able to go to school while still being paid and then have guarenteed employment afterwards. I have always been interested in the forces but now I am ready to go for it.
If anyone could give me their take on this, that would be great. Thank you
