Hey everyone,

I've done my BMQ during summer 2006, got out after because I wanted to change trade and become MP. The pat platoon captain accepted my request and they autorized my leave. I got out, waited to get accepted into college ... got accepted, done my police foundation with success. Finish first of class. I went to the recruiting office 2 weeks ago to re-enlist and they were happy with all I've done to obtain the MP trade I was looking for back in 2006. So I applied and the sergent recruiter told me that I am qualified to go directly to Borden, no more left right left in St-Jean for me. And that all my file should be overviewed in no more than 2 months.

So I will keep you post about it.

P.S.: anyone waiting for MP or for re-enlistement can contact me...

Take care,

Good luck, F_f.  I'm curious, are you still with your fiancée?  If so, has she changed her mind about the "military" way of life?

Nope I'm not with her anymore... let's just say that our conception of life wasn't the same anymore and that I realized that it is more important for me to be happy doing what I believe is right than to act happy to make someonelse be... but just to know .. how god do you know I used to have someone in my life at that time.... ??? BTW almost 4 years later.. I'm with someone else... and she respect the choices I make to live like I believe I should...

but answer my question please... i'm curious.. do I know you ?

You have posted your life story here already.  Are you starting to suffer from Aluminium Pot Syndrome?

Hi, I used to be in te canadian forces last year (2006) at least I did my BMQ in Valcartier from may to august. I've finish best student and best athlete, so im not some kind of frig all. After that, my fiance finally realized that she didn't like the military way of life for our relationship... So with some pression from the family I decided to retire from the army in october. It's not been yet a year and Gosh I miss the army way of life. I'm still with my girl but I,ve kinda change my way of seing things... I'm not happy at the university despite being an overaverage student. I don't want to be an officer,, well not yet... I don'T believe that I have what it takes to lead men... I would be interrest in rejoining as an armour personnel (what I used to be) or in the infantry. I would like to know if anyone knows if the army really likes to re-enroll personnel? and if yes what can I do except (phys test) to be more interresting for them?

Thanx a lot

Yes, F_F, no mystery here.  As George posted, I merely looked up your posting history.

FWIW, I think you made the right decision.

HAHAHAHAHAHA my bad.... gosh I look stupid now.... lol.. well yeah I think it's the right choice... I'm now more mature and have acquired a lot of leadership experience during my time in college... that I think has changed me for the better...

And for George... yeah well no aluminium pot disorder here.. at least I hope... ;)

I'll keep posting from time to time to inform everyone about my re-enlistment...

Hey everyone, got news about my re-enlistment, They certified that I would be exempted from BMQ. I'm doing my medical on june 16th and they told me that my reliability check was done and approved. Has I already did the medical when I was younger, I know that it should go easy. Next steps, Interview with the counsellor and MPAC.

I'll keep posting from time to time, good luck to everyone!
