Recce Sqn. LdSH converting to tanks

Just confirming what you posted Gues-1-, the Strathconas recce squadron may be manned in the future by reservists?  That would be cool, to be a reservist, get to operate the Coyote, and wear the Strathconas cap badge.  Also, i've always felt that the regular armour regiments should each have a reserve squadron just as the regular infantry regiments each have a reserve battalion. :cdnsalute:

WTF!
No you will not be wearing a Strat capbadge.Reservist will maybe be attached to the Sqn.As this is only rumors I wouldnt hold your breath until anything official comes down.

As for the Strats giving the militia a Sqn to play with, you should maybe ease up on the narcotics.

Actually EX_RCAC I probably should ease up on the narcotics (Guinness ) ;), but explain to me please why its such a bad idea to have reserve Coyote sqns.  Reservists have distinguished themselves from WWII to A'stan, unless i'm missing something they're no less resourceful or intelligent than their regular force counterparts. :salute:

You may want to take your own advise............. in regards to C Sqn.

No doubt many reserve units during WW2 distinguished themselves in armoured vehicles. With proper training, vehicles and money I will never argue reservist cannot complete a task. However there are many other topics here covering the state of regular force armoured units and their lac of kit.If you search my name and read a few post recently I think our interoperability with res soldiers in the corp is diplorable and needs money to be fixed.

However if you think for one moment a reserve sqn is going to move into a full sqn of vehicles while regular force units such as the RCD do not have proper kit, your highly uneducated on the topic.(No offense intended)

Also when reserve members are attached to a unit they do not wear that units capbadge.

Just take a few minutes and look at the armoured boards in reference to:
*Kit
*PCF courses for res members
*re org armd reserve
just to name a few.
That should give you a better understanding on the topic.

I believe the original post referred to reserve positions inside the sqn.I.E dvr of a coyote witin LDSH.

We live in weird and wonderful times. Lots of unorthodox things have happened in the last five years that few of us could have ever imagined. Never say never, cause that dog "Never" is bound to come back and bite you in the ass. An order in council and your 'Never happen" goes out the window. If you think for one minute that you have the final word on the subject, your highly uneducated. (No offence intended)

Hehe.Don't worry I don't take offence.
However can you honestly see the reserves getting a Sqn of coyotes, when units are lacking on the regular force side...then putting on regular force capbadges.

Yes we all know I make the decisions corp wide. However when something is coming down in O groups in official lanes of traffic I tend to listen (ref C sqn). When a guy mistakes another mans post saying there will be "POSITIONS" for a sqn size deployment of reserve Amrd crewman wearing strat badges,I merely made a suggestion he educate on the position of the armd reserve at his time.

Do you see the Amrd reserve getting a Sqn of Coyotes from the LDSH to train and deploy on?How come no one else heard of it?
No one heard of it due to the fact Cameron made a mistake reading the other strats posting to this forum.

(No offence)

Look back a few years, would you have believed the PPCLI would have black berets and be an integral part of the LdSH(RC)?  I think not..

If we had the intarweb Army.ca forums a few years ago, then maybe someone back then would have said "I will never see black berets on infantryman!!".  Heck, I am sure if i could figure out the search function, it probably HAS been posted!

As stated above.. never say never.

If someone has anything concrete to add to this topic...PM a mod.
