Seems there is some confusion who Frankie and Mick are, as they are on my sig block below my posts. This song was written for them, have a listen to the lyrics. Good Aussie VN B7W footage used in the video.

Wes

Play loud!

Sorry for the spelling mistakes, as I've lost my ability to edit.

Here is another version, a live one, different videos, I like this one.

Many of us Veterans can identify with the song, and many nights I have laid in a hot tube, candles on, scented  muscle relaxants in the water, and a bottle of JD to soften a few twisted thoughts of not so long ago.

Enjoy.

Excellent song. And seeing as how my old man (father) went through...correction...is going through what the song mentions towards the end I dug up a wikipedia blurb on it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Was_Only_Nineteen.

It makes sense that Mick and Frankie are major characters in the song as they were the inspiration for it. Probably brings a shiver and a tear to them when they hear it.

Thanks Mr. Wesley for bringing this tune to my attention, I hadn't heard it before.

Have a good one,
Joe.
