OK, I got 2 questions, im going to be applying for infantry so does that mean i need ref letters, or do you need them no matter what you apply for. Also i take anti-inflamitory meds for my back (basically a stronger kind of advil), i hurt it awhlie ago and there is a certin pain / discomfort level that doesnt want to go away. I can still do everything physicaly im just wondering if that will hurt my chances at all.
thx.

chronic back pain isnt good at all, any chances of it getting better in the future, or are you stuck with it?

You‘ll ahve a checklist to fill out with things regarding, epilepsy, bakc pains, head injuries, etc. just a bunch of serious stuff. When I signed up I was seeing a chiropractor and had several concusssions from sports, I had a seizure when I was a baby. They ask you if this stuff is reaccuring and what you will need is doctor to sign you off and say that you‘ll be ok to perform the duties reqquried by the forces. The MO or whoever administers your physical will go eeover everything. They ar epretty understanding but do not want to jeopardize anyone‘s health. I had a training injury and was on anti-inflmmatories for like ever, and things were ok.

As for referecnces, basically character references, you just need a couple of ppl you‘ve known for 5 years to say that you‘re a stand up guy, thatisn‘t related to you. Preferably from someone with chracter themselves.

well iv been doin physical theropy and its been feeling great for a couple weeks now, so im gunna ask my doctor if i cant stop taking the meds to see how i feel. so hopefully by sometime in the summer maybe end of summer it will be good. i dunno if makes a difference or not but its not my lower back its more my mid to upper back that the problem was in, but anyway im doing all my exercises / streaching and keeping my fingers crossed that it gets better soon.
so for references 2 ppl iv known for 5+years will be good? or do i need more then 2

Also, the two references just have to cover a five year period- so if you knew Ref. A from 1999-2002 and Ref. B from 2002-present you could use them. Also, you could use one person you‘ve known for 5 years and one you‘ve known for 6 months (this might be useful for an employment reference, summer job etc).
