Hey guys, I tried looking around as best I could before posting here for answers but couldn't find anything, so try not to roast me haha. Any ways, I'm currently a sig MCpl in the reserves and I'm looking to ct to reg force combat arms, particularly artillery. It was what I wanted to join when I first signed up for the reserves but we don't have any arty where I'm from. So I have two main questions:

First of all, how long are ct's usually taking if anybody has any idea?

Second, what is career progression like in the arty world? I'm assuming I'll lose my leaf which isn't a big deal to me, but will I stay as a Cpl or Bdr or is that something I'd get back after DP1? Just curious, thanks in advance.

The CT`s is anyones guess.

I had a friend who tried to go Sigs - Arty and waited about a year and half. He flirterd with his broker about going Sigs and that point his Broker PLARED everything before he even said yes. He went reg force ACISS about 4 weeks later. I believe at that point he was ``close`` to getting arty but just took Sig`s.

For CT`s it is literally a top down list. You wait until they call you.

Good luck, hopefully you can find a CLS B in the mean time.

Edit: Here is the reference for CT`s (DWAN):

Ask your CT Broker, they can provide you with all this information.
