Remuster thoughts! Sell me on armour.

When i joined up a couple years ago, the recruiter told me i didn't qualify combat arms(i had picked armour as my first choice)because of my  vision. In light of recent events(i heard the standard went from V2 to v4)and the fact that i am utterly sick of being a sig op.

Maybe it's just me, but a life of mud and tanks is really appealing.

I just want a general consensus of the job and the aspects(like day to day stuff). There aren't any Armoured soldiers on this base.

Also, i know what the minimum PT standards are, but i would like to know just how much i have to do to have an easy time on morning PT(i have to wait until i am a cpl before i can even be considered for a remuster so i have time to get in real decent shape)

i really appreciate any reply, but mostly i want to be sold on armour cause i have my mind set on it.

Also, what do you think they'll do with someone who'se qualified on most vehicles shy of airbrakes and big stuff.....cause i already have tcccs and driver courses, and i already have SQ.

Good knowledge of TCCS is a great asset in Armour.  Have a look through some of these Armour Threads and you will find the info you need.  There are lots of threads on what Armour is like and where it is going.

Please read through the Armoured Forum. Almost anything relating to us and our trade can be found here. Just takes a bit of reading. After you've done this, we can answer specific questions for you. BTW, there are already similar threads to yours, here and elsewhere on Army.ca. Both Reg & Reserve are covered.
