Remuster to Artillery?

I started my military career in high school with the Army reserves.  I served in a local Artillery unit for 1.5 years.  I really enjoyed my time there.  I eventually wanted to join the regular force, but I wasn't sure what trade that I wanted.  I ended up choosing NCI Op with hopes of ending up on the west coast, where I grew up.

Here I am 7 years later.  During my whole career I've missed my time in the Artillery.  I've always thought "What if I had gone into the regular Army instead?"  Then I began to wish I had done just that, and began to regret my decision to join the Navy.  Recently I started seriously thinking about a remuster.  Why not?  I'm still in my 20's.  I'm in reasonably good shape.  There's people, much older than I, who are joining.  So why not?

I'm a QL5B qualified NCI Op with PLQ.  I'm obviously hesitant to lose my qualifications, and start over.  I'd be perfectly happy to do SQ and the MOC training, but I'd rather not have to do a PLQ over again.  Does anyone know if I'd have to do a Land Specific PLQ if I actually go through with this?

Anyway... what do you all think of this?  Is it doable?  Am I crazy?

So do it. If its been on your mind all this time, you will beat yourself up with the "what if"....why not give it a try instead. Lots of us remustered and started over, its no big deal, if you are happier in your new trade then you are better off.

So I take it you did the CF PLQ correct? If this is so then I believe you would have to do a PLQ (L) MOD 6 (Part 2) the urban ops/defensive phase which is about 4 weeks or so.

Yes, that's correct.  I'll look into it further.
If I have to do it, then I'll suck it up and do it.

I'll add updates.  I'm about to be posted to a new unit in two weeks.  I've already got the paperwork filled out, so I'll submit it up the chain once I get there.
