Last year in Borden they were filming a movie on the base; And it wasn't a Canadian movie. Using Canadian bases for movies isn't a new thing. Or using the troops as extras. Its been going on for years.

Has anyone scene the season finale of trailer park boys? were those Canadian soldiers playing the "ERT" team? I thought this might be a possibility because....
1.) The rifles appeared (at least to "unexperienced eyes" to be C7's
2.) The "sniper" was wearing a CADPAT Boonie cap
