The thing that always annoys me is that this is not a "news item", so the Star will claim that it has no duty to check the claims made for accuracy, rather it is an "opinion". which reflects the writer's personal take on events. Sadly I don't imagine doing a mea culpa is high on Siddiqui's list of things to do; he's already moved on to the new topic du jour. So much media with so little substance!
