Hi, I am new to this group and I am in the process of writing a book on all of the men who at one time served in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and its earlier versions, and died in Military actions from 1885 to the Second World War.
One of the men I am researching was Bombardier Charles C. Chipman MM and was KIA on October 9, 1916 and received the Military Medal posthumously. He was born in Ottawa and I have reason to believe he was in the “Royal Canadian Horse Artillery” in Ottawa before he enlisted at Valcartier in 1914.
I would appreciate any assistance I can get in bringing his story to life.
