Hi,
are you considered a Pte Basic after completing BMQ or after completing all of your trade courses? Furthermore, are there any positions in the reserves that only require BMQ completion or only a short amount of training after BMQ? Or are there only the standard 13 weeks of training including BMQ?

You are considered a Pte. (B) from when you join up until completion of your trades qualification, it really only applies to the amount of money you are getting paid per day. With only BMQ you will not be qualified to take part in most training or excercises because you likely won't be qualified to do what your unit is doing (i.e.: your trade's job). Every unit and trade requires that you have your trade training, in order for you to be able to do your job, just the same as the RegF. All trade's have different lengths of training post BMQ/BMQ-L, talk to the recruiter about the differences. However, if you're not planning on doing any training post BMQ, you won't get accepted, period.

AFAIK prior to / during BMQ you are a Pte(R), then afterwards you goto Pte(B)

Also, I don't believe Pte pay is based on if you are a Pte(R), Pte(B) or Pte(T) but more on the IPC level like the other ranks.

Ah, yes, sorry, the Pte.(R) thing is correct. My bad. Although I'm not 100% sure how the scale works, the pay stubs say Pte.(R,B,T). And the way I understood it was that you could get IPC bonuses only after you were trained, but I could be totally wrong.
