reservists getting "called into action"

Hi guys/gals,

Quick question. I'm joining the reserves but I'm wondering...under what circumstances (if any) would I be "forced" to do a tour of duty? Looking online is crazy to try and find an answer for this!!

Only under a general mobilization ordered by the Governor in Council. In sort, not likely to happen any time soon.

does anyone know when the last time and under what circumstances reservists were called up?

ModlrMike already told you why the reserves could be called up for. I believe the last time the reserves were called up by an act of parliament was in WWII.
