RMC/ROTP 2025-2026

The army has overall almost double the active personnel of the RCAF so there’s generally more place for advancement and, if I’m not wrong, most of the high ranking officials come from the army. There’s also all the interesting courses like para training, but that’s not really related to better opportunities.

I’m actually planning on doing ROTP through a civilian university. I already started my first year and it wouldn’t make sense having to restart. What about you?
I am in grade 12, so I am considering RMC. I am considering other universities as well. However, RMC seems great!

Do you know if naval warfare officer is similar to aircrew trades given their own entrance test the MOST?
As for aircrew trades, the score you get during aircrew selection has always been the most important factor in getting chosen.

do you guys know how long I'll be at final processing before they decide whether I am eligible or not? my interview went pretty badly, but my grades are on the higher end, so I was wondering when they would give me an answer

pretty sure everyone who's completed all of the required procedures, as well as pass the basic requirements such as 75+ average and a satisfactory cfat score, make the competition list. rmc said they understand and adapt to people who are also applying to other universities, so most offers will be given out by june. also, a recruiter told me that if you get to the point where they give you the interview you have a high chance of being accepted unless your interview shows that you are actually like weird.

on the other hand, i wanna ask any applicants in their senior year right now, does rmc literally only see and care about our grade 11 marks?

Hey I can respond to this because I applied. Yes, if your transcript only has grade 11 marks they will only see those. Also, I know three people at RMC, and they aren't really academically smart if I have to be honest. Their averages were around the mid 80s region. From what I’ve seen, anything 75%+ is considered the same I believe. They can see your grade 12 marks if it’s on your transcript. If it’s not, they wont see it. For example, I took biology grade 12 last year, so they will see that.

Interesting, I don't think I said any red flags during the interview
