For those who love Robotech, an awesome short series to check it out is Macross Plus.  This series is an indirect sequel to the Macross series that composes the first Robotech series.  It really takes some major inspiration from the real life battle between the YF-22 and the YF-23 for the F-15 replacement contract.  The planes featured are even called the YF-19 and the YF-21.  It's a really cool series with a good story and some of the funnest pilot oriented action to be animated in quite some time.  Likely responsible for my over arching pilot desires!
