Couple of questions:
I live in Salmon Arm, BC and I want to join the reserves. I want to join the Rocky Mountain Ranger’s in Kamloops. Are they a good reserve unit? Also what kind of process am I looking at? How long will it take? Sorry the recruiter I spoke with was not very helpful. Thank you for your help.

I realize this thread is pretty old but will try anyways.

I too am joining the Rocky mountain Rangers in kamloops, and live about 2 hours away.  will they cover my travel or not on this for me to make the practises on Thursdays?

P.S. Who all here is in the Rocky mountain Rangers?

Yes the pay covers for the gas and a bit extra to cover up keep of your car, there is a certain formula for figuring this out, (found out by phoning the Kelowna Recruiting Centre) although that was quite a while ago and i think I lost the formula.
