ROTP Deadline

Yeah so I sent in an application for ROTP the other day and the deadline was back in January.... I highly doubt that they'd accept it for this year but I can't help
but hope that they'd at least consider taking me up on it. I meet every requirement and then some, but I'd be extremely bummed out if all hope was diminished
from that one factor, even though it's crucial.

So, would any kind folks like to rekindle the flame of hope or can someone just stomp out the flames so I can get the wood ready for the next flame.

P.s. I love analogies  ;)

Thank you in advance, and I look forward to my future time on these forums!

You also have to do your CFAT, interview, and medical, so I'm sorry to say, you don't have any time left for that since the selection for ROTP is in less than a month.

Slight bummer but that's all that I can do since I left it so late.... Thank you :)

You're still in the running and your application will be processed with all the rest, regardless of what has been said above, so it is not too late, even though you left it to the last minute.  There is ABSOLUTELY no deadline to apply for ROTP and there never has been.  The only date I have ever seen mentioned is in regards to your application being "fully" processed and being merit listed for ROTP selection.

Man you just brightened my day, I'm glad to hear and I really appreciate your response!

My apologies, but if the OP were to not complete the CFAT, interview, and medical in time for selection, which is very soon, then it's obviously too late.

There is no such thing as "too late" when it comes to ROTP.!!!  Mind you, and if I am understanding you correctly, then when you applied, circumstances may have been "much" different.  But at this point in time, if you were to apply "today", you will still have the same chance of gaining acceptance as someone who applied in Nov, regardless of the selection date.

Don't you think it would be too late if the selection date passes and you still haven't completed the entire process?

To OP:
I'll clarify this; it's too late for first selection as that starts March 18th.  HOWEVER, there's always second selection, and then last minute calls, so your application will be in the process.  If you can't make it for second selection or you're just not picked, make sure they keep hold of your file for next year and always work towards making yourself a better applicant in the meantime!
Courage, young one, and keep your motivation burning strong ;)

See the post above by Noctis which pretty much sums things up.  Plus this goes back to something similar I posted for you in the past.  ;-)  About not taking what you have on hand as there will be more to come.

I'm not sure about that... Last year when I applied for Pilot there was a deadline as of November 15 and January 15... And all your test were needed to be completed before March 15... This year it seems different but ''never'' was not appropriate

The "deadlines" that you mention are actually "processing" targets which allow time for your file to be completed and ready for selection.  An application "deadline" is just that....come that date, no more applications are accepted, when the fact of the matter is you can apply for ROTP anytime during the year and applications are still being accepted and processed to this day.

The question is, whether or not your file can be processed in time for selection?

And YES, there is more than one selection...........
