ROTP Pilot while already at a civilian university — how competitive is it?

Hey everyone, I’m a first-year student at the University of Guelph and I’ve started applying for ROTP, with Pilot as my first choice. My high school average was around 90%.

Has anyone here been accepted for Pilot through ROTP while staying at a civi university, or were you required to transfer to RMC? I’d prefer to stay at Guelph, but I’m open to RMC.

I’m also wondering what a competitive applicant actually looks like. Beyond grades and passing aircrew selection, what experience or preparation helped you? Would appreciate hearing how it went for others!

Yes, im also applying acso and aec at the same time and see if i can do CFAST and other tests this year and ill apply one more time next year
