Royal Scots Dragoon Guard killed in Iraq

The Ministry of Defence regrets to confirm that a soldier from the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards has died as a result of injuries sustained in an Improvised Explosive Device attack in Southern Iraq on Saturday, 15 April 2006.
Three of his colleagues were slightly injured in the attack.
The dead soldier's immediate next of kin have been informed and have requsted that his name be withheld until the wider family has been consulted.
Adam Ingram MP, Minister for the Armed Forces, said:
“I was deeply saddened to learn of this incident. My thoughts and sympathies are with the families of all those concerned at this difficult time.”
