So, "central Canada" = Quebec?

I would have thought that they would have planned for the Vancouver/Victoria area as well.

.... from PMO -  highlights mine:
.... The itinerary, which was developed in collaboration with municipalities, provinces, a territory, and private organizations, includes the following highlights:

The Canada Day Noon Show on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, Ontario (July 1)
Freedom of the City ceremony with the Royal 22e Régiment in Québec City, Québec (July 3)
Search and rescue demonstration in Summerside, Prince Edward Island (July 4)

For more details on the itinerary, including where the public can see The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, visit the 2011 Royal Tour website at www.royaltour.gc.ca ....

It would be interesting if somebody higher up would consider offering an exchange posting  to a Cdn helo Sqn for the Prince. It would be several firsts if it came to pass.  If he flew the Cyclone, it would be another first.

Heh. I live about a block away from the ITHQ. Looks like I get to listen to all kinds of crowds and media come July 2.

.... during the visit:
On June 29, 2011, Prime Minister Stephen Harper unveiled a new personal flag, for use in Canada, for His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge. The flag – which is to be flown for the first time throughout the upcoming Tour of Canada by The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, from June 30th to July 8th – was developed by the Canadian Heraldic Authority, and its creation and design were approved by Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge.

The new flag is composed of the Royal Arms of Canada with the addition in the centre of the Duke of Cambridge’s personal cypher within a wreath of maple leaves and shells – a symbol borrowed from His Royal Highness’s personal coat of arms.  The coronet of his cypher, above the letter W, indicates that he is the child of the heir apparent of the Sovereign.  His Royal Highness’s distinctive heraldic mark (the white three-point label with a red shell in the centre) appears at the top.

The new flag is the first to be created for use in Canada since 1962, when it was announced that Her Majesty The Queen had adopted a personal flag for her own use in Canada.  When The Queen is in Canada, her flag is flown day and night at any building in which she is in residence.  Generally, it is also flown at the saluting base when she conducts troop inspections, and on all vehicles in which she travels.

The Queen approved the creation and design of two personal flags, for use in Canada: one for His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales and the other for his son The Duke of Cambridge ....

HavokFour (From the Knit-picking sailor sitting in the corner!!):
Why did you add "The" in front of "HMCS Montreal" when the press release (your link) does not have that. Come now-We have been through this several times in these forums!

All that said, thanks for the link. I will throw it out to the unit in the morning.

It appears some Brit reporters on the Royal charter don't feel they're getting their money's worth - this from a Postmedia News reporter via Twitter:
Brit reporters INCENSED there's a cash bar on the flight, given we paid $2,100 a pop for the charter. "Mutiny" has been uttered. #royaltour
