Russian "Canadian" Airsofters need your help.

Holy cow! I had no idea that airsoft was so huge in Russia. When you guys said 1500 before, I though you were exagerating... Now I see the pics.

WOW. Good physical training bouncing through the woods shooting at each other. Best part is, with what you guys do, the "good guys" and "bad guys" all get togeather for some pints (or perhaps vodka) and laugh about the day's events.

Welcome to the site.  :D

Have fun, and good hunting!

thanks! :) most of airsoft games in Russia play during 24 hours including night time. So you are right, it's good training. And that can i tell about CADPAT: it's a BEST camouflage for European part of Russia...

I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it!!!  Its wild you guys are re creating modern regiments and units from Canada even.  You guns are they mostly metal or plastic??  any other Canadian units?  Its very cool.  Good luck to you.

Most of our guns are metal (casting aluminium). I know at least four Canadian units (about 40 - 50 guys) in central region of Russia, and one in Ukraine.

Very cool - thanks for sharing all this.

Any idea which Canadian units are recreated?

actually, airsoft in Ukraine is very popular too... ;-)

It is normal for 800-1000 people for a big game at the season opening\closing.
Only in my city (Odessa, Ukraine) there are more that 300 airsofters..

and of course there is a place for Canada among other countries as theme for modelling by airsofters.
In Ukraine there are 2 teams who trying to do a modelling\reconstruction of Canadian troops. One has no unit selection yet but wear replics of uniform, and another (actually this is my team) has selected 3 PPCLI, C Coy...and trying to make full reconstruction. But we have a lot of to do yet..

I'm sorry, site is only in russian...

I know, a lot of people in Canadian Forces don't like airsoft players and especially if somebody trying to imitate their units...But this is very interesting theme. We do like PPCLI, its history, traditions, exterior view and armaments.. Step by step we gather information by grains because it is very difficult to find some facts or details about equipment..or how to wear or use it correctly..And of course it is difficult to find original uniform ;-)
So, I am asking to excuse me and my team for that. We are trying to do all the best.

I will appreciate if someone could help us to fix possible mismatches in equipment\uniform\etc or could answer for some emergent questions from time to time.. Please PM me or contact ICQ 167953283. Also contact me for any critics if you'd like...All this is very helpful for us.
Many thanks!

P.S. Besides, we do also a reconstruction of soviet motorised infantry for the period of war in Afganistan in 1979-1989.
You can find some interesting foto of us here http://afgan.io.ua/album120031

Your CADPAT looks almost more authentic than what I'm issued with.

From where do you get itÉ

RE: team leader http://io.ua/3439216

I find it fascinating that they spare no expense recreating some of our kit - including what seems to be a near-perfect tac-vest knock-off (or an early model? The mesh being olive green says something...) A for effort, I guess.

This vest is a close replic of course and it is done by canadian manufactory Parklands.. ;-) it is more crude done and has this olive drab net unlike the camouflaged one of the of the real TV. The uniform is a replic too.. ;) Of course we would like original items, but you know your stringent law..   :crybaby:  :'(  ::) ;D

P.S. my airsoft rifle is..  http://io.ua/4340727p

only Canadian laws prohibits to sell & buy the issued uniform, but not Ukrainian and Russian laws :)
