Its an appalling story and the chain of command left this kid with few good options.Too late to punish those involved.I hope the armed forces learn a collective lesson.

Apalling doesn't go far enough for me.  I'm glad he was able to get some justice in the end.

In an Army unit I was in there was a medic that had a number of complaints.Eventually with enough complaints the NCO was court martialed and discharged.
