William Harvey Devitt was stationed in Brighton, Sussex, England in 1944/7 or thereabouts. He married Ethel Wilkinson who called herself Joan who had two sisters. They all lived in St James Street, Brighton.
William Devitt, a corporal in the Canadian Army, went back to Canada in about 1947, Joan didn‘t go with him. He was quite handsome with blond wavy hair. I think I am his daughter, at least, his name is on my birth certificate. I don‘t have any other information, except that he is probably about 80 if he is alive today. I would love to have some information about him, and also about my mother. I never met her, as I was adopted.
I don‘t know which part of Canada he was from. Please help if you can. Joan Devitt [email protected]
