Anyone know what level of security clearance you need for the Naval Communicator trade. Tried searching for it but no results.

level 3 is the word at where I work . Naval Radio Station Esquimalt. Might be less at first but there sure seems to be alot of people waiting in esquimalt for their security clearance before they start their navcomm QL 3 course

This is for reserves btw, is it still level III

I believe so. I am a reserve sigop working with regular force and reserve navcomms and my understanding is all of us have a level 3 .

It is level III or more depending on what's going on and what you are dealing with.  But Level III is the minimum

I find it interesting that someone thinks that only Regs would require a Level III to do the job, but not Reservists.  Just sounds so 'special' to me.  ::)

Anyone know is long it takes to get level III clearance?

You need level II to begin your QL3, level III to work as a NavComm.  I have been in since last November and CSIS just started interviewing some of my contacts for the level III.

thats cool lots of others are going to NAV communicator
i am also thinking of enlisting in regular forces as a nav communicator?
Is this a really hard job to do?
