thanks for the advice

Um, you kind of need a degree to be an Infantry Officer. You‘re obviously applying for ROTP, right?

Your eyesight shouldn‘t be too much of a problem, just be honest about it when you go for the medical.

ya im applying... just nervous i want to be accepted. thanks

Just a suggestion...but I would consider some time in the ranks before becoming an officer. I think it would give you good initial understanding, and give you a better idea if you like it or not. Training opportunities are greater aswell. Get your infantry quals (NCM)...then see from there. You may not want to become an officer at all. That was my feeling for a long time.

more experience is always a good thing. especially when your an officer

Everyone always wants to go to RMC and be an officer at first...

Your eyes are alright. To be an infantry ncm/officer you need V3 vision. I have 6/120 vision in my left eye and i was barely classified as V4, i think your alright. :soldier:

Are you implying that fellas loose interest in that after they get a taste of army life?

good news... i went to the eye doctor.. and my right eye is little better than perfect so when i see with both eyes my vision is 20/20 and he aslo said ive went without glasses for 19 years there is no point in me getting glasses because it wont my normal vision out anyways it would only make my one eye better but i wouldnt really notice a difference unless i was only using my left eye... so i think i should be fine.. :soldier:
