I remember when they were showing a Sharpe movie every friday a couple years ago, are they doing it again? There isn‘t much on the Napoleonic war in film, and the Sharpe movies weren‘t bad...

Ah but there is history in the series like the song‘s,place‘s,battle‘s.
I have read a bit and was impressed with the show.

Yup I‘m watching right now!
Read the book‘s,at the end of the each book is a history lesson.
All what you see is a real recreation of the uniform‘s,song‘s they sing also the Battle‘s.
Point of note,the word Guerrilla Fighter (sp) comes from this time.

Also the longest lasting alliance comes from the Peninsular War also.
Still stands today.

What is that Alliance and which Countries?

I just read Sharpe‘s Tiger. I read all the books from Sharpe‘s Rifles to Sharpe and the Emperor and am now looking for the three prequels. Oh yeah, he just published Sharpe‘s Havoc a few months ago, too.
