The C7 has the iron sights, the C7A1 has the flat top for the scope. Most Militia units no longer have the C7 in their inventory therefore if your training is being done by a Reserve unit you will learn to shoot on a C7A1.Manimal said:so i'm confussed about the difference between the c7 and c7A1, i'm assuming the A1 is just the newest upgrade, but KevinB pointed out that on Reg forces use the C7. why?
yes. If you're a Reservist, I don't think you'll see one, however. (No big loss - it's plastic, and i've broken two already.) There are aftermarket sights available. Don't buy them, you can't put them on your weapon. (Yeah, I've seen it tried.)Manimal said:is there a rear site to use just sites without the scope on the C7A1?

You wanna shoot iron sights? Get a PAL, buy a rifle with iron sights, and get some trigger time. I recommend going with .22 LR.
