Sig Op, what are your experiences ?

Hello everyone,

I've been reading this forum for a while now. I joined as a SigOp and I'm currently waiting the call for my BMQ, which should come pretty soon now. In the meanwhile, I was wondering what other SigOps are thinking of their job and if they have experiences to share. Don't get me wrong, I have carefully chosen my job before joining and I'm sure I'll enjoy my career, and no matter what is said here, I won't change my mind.

I'm also asking this because I've tried to consult the links provided in the Trades FAQ, but none worked. Clicking on one of the links always tells me "The topic or board you are looking for appears to be either missing or off limits to you." (but I can access topics from the other trades). Searching for "SigOp" or "Signal Operator" are not returning any results.

No results at all?  I just did a search on "sig op" and got 200 pages.  Ensure that you are doing your search through all boards, and you will find something.

A good place to start is in the Communications and Electronics sub-board

I also received 7 pages of results with no space and 6 pages for signal operator.  As I stated above, the basic search function will search through what forum or board you are currently in.  Therefore, you need to ensure that you either do the advanced search to search all boards, or be on the army.ca home page when you search.
