hey i was wondering two things, when your in basic training, where do u sleep? does each recruit have a small room which he sleeps in? or is it like a bunk where all the recruits sleep in, and then after / if you pass the basic training and start your career, where do you sleep then? such as infantry, when you sign up for the three years. i also tried using the search forms to find my answer but i couldnt come up with anything.
Thanks

here are some links straight from the recruiting faq's on housing and living arrangements after Basic.

The quarters you get is different from base to base, on my BMQ (reserve) we had a room with 6 single beds with a locker between each bed.

For a Reg Force BMQ in St Jean each recruit will have his own little cubicle with a bed, desk, and closet. If you're going Infantry, then you'll probably be sent to Meaford where you'll have a bunk, a closet, and maybe a desk in an open room with 3-5 other guys. When you're posted to the regiment you'll live in a room similar to a college dorm (not that I've ever been to college, but from what I hear its pretty similar). At first you'll share a room with one other guy, but eventually you'll start to drive each other nuts and the one who cracks first will either move off base or be placed on a waiting list for a single room. If you're married or common law you can live in the PMQs (personal married quarters) with your spouse/girlfriend. The PMQs are rowhouses just off base, and from what I hear they're pretty good for a young family.
