Recruit Murphy reporting for duty.
First of all, thanks to all forum members. Reading through the Army.ca forums has answered many of my questions about the Canadian Army. Also, you are all true patriots and have my respect.
Now I'll get down to business. I recently came back from my first contact with my CF recruiter. He gave me my full application package and told me everything I needed to bring back next time. I was told to bring two SLORs (standard letter of reference). One of the SLORs must be composed by someone that I've known for at least five years. I've only known my current employer for two years. My previous employer: three years.
What kinds of people can compose SLORs? Do they have to be bosses? Does my relationship with these people have to be fairly active over those five years?
After I find my SIN card, and I get my second SLOR, I will be ready to return to my recruiter and apply.
