i recently decided to join the armoured recce in the reserves. but as for MOC goes, i've seen R011, R012, and R013. is there any difference about these MOC's? my recruiter said it doesnt really matter, but i just want to make sure. thanks for any help you can give.

You may have misunderstood your recruiter.

R011 is Armour, 012 is Artillery, and 013 is Infantry.

I thought it was:

R011 armoured

R021 Artillery ( field)

R031 Infantryman

yea, i'm pretty confused myself, on the intial application form he gave me, the MOC was R012, but when i selected the MOC in the recruiting center, R011 was the only one there, so yea, kinda confused...

If your joining a reserve armoured unit as a armoured soldier, your MOC will be R011. Either what you saw was a typo or you may of misread it.

A crewman is a crewman is a crewman.  Whether you're on a Leopard, Coyote, MGS, Iltis or GWagen and your a ncm, your MOC is 011.  MOSID 00005.

alright thanks people, i guess this question is answered

I think others have it wrong with respect to reserve MOC codes.  In the old Reserve Recce/Armour Sqn days the respective MOCs were R013 for Reserve Recce and R011 for Reserve Armour. Now that the reserves have or are in the process of, transforming to all Recce they should all be MOC R013 not R011.  On the Reg force side we are maintaining 011 for NCOs because we never had a seperate MOC code for Recce.

You are correct.  Reserve armd recce MOC for NCMs is 013.

thanks for all the help, even though i guess it doesnt really matter now, i think if anything the recruiter will correct any mistakes

Just tell the recruiter you want to be a crewman.   They'll figure out the rest.
