Im planning in enlisting as a weapons technician but i got some questions.

1- Do they hire you if you dont actually have a job? (lost my job few weeks ago)
2- How about the credit chek they do, is it really strict like if you got a bad credit you sure not
    to be chosen.
3- They ask for 5 references and your 3 last jobs. what if your 5 references are good but you
your 3 last jobs doesnt give you good references.

Thats my 3 biggest concern i woud like to know if i still get a chance to get recruited.

Thx

All your questions have been asked and answered, I think you will find the general response to your questions will be to follow the following steps:

1) At the home page type your search themes in the search box, hit search and research"
2) Contact your local recruiting center
3) After completing steps 1 and 2 if you still have questions then post away

Anyone wanna disagree?

I was wondering if the contract of engagement for a weapon tech is 3 years?? or longer

thx you

Actually the new initial contracts (VIE) vary according to trade, as I am not a work right now I do not have the numbers readily available. I would suggest that you email, call or chat with a recruiter by the available means.

VIE for a MOSID 00130 / MOC 421 W TECH L is 4 years.  CE is 5 and IE is 25.

I was looking at the salary chart for NCM and it goes from 2663 to 3256 to 3991 a month for privates.  I was just wondering on average (cuz it probably change from person to person) how long it takes to go up the salary chart.

You start off in the left-most column, Basic. With each successive year in a rank, you go up one IPC. When you get promoted, you move to your new rank in the Basic IPC.

Also, I'm sure this is on here elsewhere. Big tip around this forum: search is your friend.

In addition to search being a useful resource, when you reference something, it helps to post a link so that people can see exactly what you are referring to.

Since there are many pay threads, I will lock this one up. To read more about the CF pay system, start with this search:
