Hello, I'm new here. I'm considering joining the CF with a trade. I have a limited education (missing a few courses for graduation). Currently picking up my math to the grade 10 level so I can even be considered. I do have courses in the grade 11 and 12 level, though my grades aren't excellent. I didn't like high school to make it short.

I just did , a short while ago, an auto mechanic apprenticeship, I don't know if that's good for anything.

I would like to be a mechanic, or an IT kind of thing. I was wondering what my chances were of being considered or what I could even be accepted into. Thanks

Good morning, brandon969, and welcome to Army.ca.

Please research older threads here, and use the Search Function, as most questions that you may have have already been asked and answered already. We expect people to do their own homework here, as much as possible.

That aside, you will need to talk to a Recruiter for a definitive answer.

You should talk to a recruiter, tell them what your situation is and let them advise you on a plan of action. There are many variables to be considered in an application, the only way to know what your chances are is to apply and see what happens.

As for mechanic type trades, there are several to choose;

Vehicle Technician (army)

Marine Engineer (navy)

Aviation Systems Technician (air force)

Thanks, I will contact a recruiter. I have a rather unique situation I should figure out.
