Just thought I‘d post a little message about a few things. I was in Croatia in ‘94/‘95 and while I personally wasn‘t exposed to bauxite as far as I know others in the same Battalion were. They manned OPs that were sandbagged with bauxite. Even though they knew about the bauxite at the time they probably didn‘t realise what it could do to them. Besides it seemed to me that the BAttalion was more worried about putting out drip pans than their soldiers health. The pre med techs came around every now and then to make sure we washed our hand but I don‘t remember them ever visiting an OP. Well that‘s my two cents worth on that.

On another subject, any comments on Scott Taylors opinion about the JTF? I heard him quoted on the CBC saying that they were "...a bunch of cowboys running around with Rambo-loke weapons...". I think Taylor should keep his trap shut. Right now the JTF is pretty much the only unit that troops in the Army can aspire to. I know several soldiers, Reserve and Reg that are pushing themselves to try for selection. If the JTF was removed which is highly doubtful there would be nothing to look up/forward to.

Anyway those are my four cents total. Any comments?
