They day has finally come! After a somewhat smooth process from sign-up to merit-listing, it's been one journey. A journey that marks the new start in my life, and when I feel for once I've made the right decision. I've found my true calling, worked hard to get where I am, and now it all will pay off.

I can not thank the wise and true members of these amazing forums, for their experiences, and answers to many imperative questions I've asked over the months. The good, the bad, the ugly, the beautiful, the humorous and the sad all have brought better understanding of the Armed Forces to light, and really assure me I've made the right choice.

I look forward to serving my country, wherever the call beckons. I look forward to the amazing lifestyle I'm about to embark on, and the comradeship that isn't found anywhere else.

I'll see you on 12 Dec 07 at the Mega.

Update: Mods, did not see the "Personal Stories" section, and posted in this sub-forum. Please move if necessary. Thanks.

I hope to be sworn in next week, and hope to start my basic (reserve) in Nov. I'd also like to thank the people of these forums for their helpful advice and the experiences that they have shared. Although I don't post much, I've been reading these forums for quite awhile, and I've learned a lot. Also although I know for many of us you guys have been 'holding our hands' through the whole process, but I'd like to think of it as making sure we know what we're getting into, and being as prepared as we can be. Although I do understand the annoyance of the same questions being asked dozens of times.

Anyways, thanks!
