You know, the plastic that we used to put over maps with all the steadtler marker stuff on it... blue, red, green...

Does anyone happen to know what the NSN of a roll of this stuff might be?

Even better, how in hell (or, more accurately, NDHQ) would I get my hands on a roll of the stuff? Most of the folks here in the puzzle palace haven't a clue what it is, much less being able to actually get me some... like finding hen's teeth...

Suggestions, comments or information most welcome.

Certainly field units (Reg & Res) will have that stuff by the large roll
If your supply type does not know - contact the RQ of any one of the Ottawa region reserve units.

It is a Polyester Film/Plastic Sheet made from the resin Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET).  http://www.grafixplastics.com/mylar_what.asp

I am sure that your Supply people can find the NSN for you.  If not, find someone in INT and find out what Number they order it under.  Museums and Archives use it as an acid free protector for photographs and documents, so any Archival Supplies Co will have it, such as Carr and McLean.

I've only found thin rolls at Staples... 13.5" x 60". It was a sort of 'mini=staples' inside a mall though, so a full sized store may have wider rolls...
