Temporary medical conditions

I have my medical this week, however I just caught a minor ear infection a few days ago which is limiting my hearing in one ear. I'm hoping it will clear up before the test but if it doesn't, since it's a temporary condition, how do they deal with this in the medical? Do they just put it off until later?

Give them a call. You can either re-book or go back for the hearing poriton. It may depend on them.  Either way, you will need the test once
the infection has cleared.
