The Admiral Who Could Not Be Around Classified Information

Vadm Branch must have friends in high places to keep his job as Chief of Naval intelligence.Since he and his deputy Radm Lockless were caught up in a major corruption investigation they were prohibited from being involved with classified information.Crazy stuff.

Vice Adm. Ted “Twig” Branch has been barred from reading, seeing or hearing classified information since November 2013, when the Navy learned from the Justice Department that his name had surfaced in a giant corruption investigation involving a foreign defense contractor and scores of Navy personnel.

I was under the impression your military was very efficent in getting rid of incompetent leaders.

The Admiral isnt incompetent.Somehow he came up during an on going investigation.NCIS has yet to be able to clear either admiral but no one wanted to force out officers who may not have done anything wrong.They were given the benefit of the doubt.But there are assignments that do not involve classified information.
