Actually if reilly didn't know it he got lucky.   The CBC is funded to the tune of a billion a year.  (937 million from the government in 2005 plus an additional 547 million from other sources including advertising)

:o

Corner Gas ain't that friggin' funny.  Time to hang out the "For Sale" sign.  That is ridiculous.  :threat:

What is this thread about again?  Atks on Red Friday or CBC's fall line up?   ::)

The only thing that matters on the CBC is Hockey night in Canada .

Agreed.  And given it's viewership stats, it would get picked up in a heart beat by any network that could get it.

1. Corner Gas is that funny - but as mentioned previously, it's on CTV and therefore not relevant to this thread.

2. Hockey Night in Canada is GOOD, if only they'd go back to a beer sponsor whose product doesn't give me the runs.  (too much info?)

3. Another good show on CBC is ANY CFL GAME the TORONTO SPORTS NETWORK doesn't carry - usually because it takes a week's notice of a blackout being lifted in order for them to lift the blackout.  Fans of the Bombers will know of what I speak.  Even when they were leading the league, we couldn't catch a game on TV.  Actually, any Western fans.  Yeah, that's right, I'm in SK and am a Bomber's fan but also not relevant to this thread.
