There's a bunch to be done. That's why I'm really hoping CFD 2.0 with JFC is successful. We need somebody to drive that cohesion and integration in a holistic way.

Its the acronym for what I say when I hear about another bespoke solution come out of DLCSPM when I am able to Google 3 viable COTS options that work better.

Do we have to say "Canadian" when we are talking amongst ourselves? Why do we have to describe everything as Canadian? Can't we just assume that our organizations are Canadian?
I can understand talking about Canadian Brigades in an allied setting but why aren't our brigades simply 1st, 2nd and 5th Mechanized Brigades and 31st to 41st Territorial Brigades of the 1st to 5th Divisions?

Reads like marketing. There's automation and management tools of all kinds these days that can make things more efficient. But one still has to be weary of the sales pitch. Also, a dashboard reducing what is essentially the J6 briefing time? Sure. I don't see what the big deal is. It's a nice modern innovation. Not earth-shattering though.
Nobody has to say or do anything. Acronyms, names and how they are used are simply part of our organizational culture as a military. And most particularly of those serving at the time.
Nobody goes around saying "Canadian Joint Operations Command". We say "Seee - Jock". Nobody goes around saying "Canadian Special Operations Forces Command". We say "Can - sof - com". I am just noting that in this case, people are not really saying the first part of the acronym. The short hand that seems to have caught on is " Jay - Eff - see".
I remember a push a while back to get whole air force to stop saying "1 CAD" and say "One Canadian Air Division", from some prudish general who thought "cad" was offensive. He tried to make fetch happen and didn't get very far. And now we have "1 CAD" and "2 CAD".

However, the military (and other organizations) have a bad habit of using those acronyms outside of their field, whereupon nobody knows what they are talking about, or that acronym means something completely different to the other organization. My old job crossed many industries, each have their own language and one must be careful that acronyms and even common terms like "temporary" or "Interim" may mean very different things.

SSC took a year to get a printer replaced so I wouldn't advise holding your breathe for anything from them.
Even CAD can be misunderstood. Once had a conversation with an officer that was just posted to 1 CAD in Kingston. which was Canadian Army Division which of course is wrong but when you don't know is easy to see.

This is a key part of the developing Sense-Strike Complex. Hopefully the CA and RCN are paying attention to this coalition shared database. It’s a key aspect of enabling a system like Maven Smart System to operate, and a key component to ensuring the integration of the joint force.

Hopefully the CA and RCN are paying attention to this coalition shared database. Not a cloud, it will be a localized physical sovereign database. However due to the NATO STANAGs it will be easy (in theory at least) to build it into the NATO networks as a highly federated database node.
It also will allow for automated classification control allowing passage of various classifications to various users near real time.
Those are key backbone functions to allow the AI components of a system like MSS to operate and enable the rapid decision support and automated dashboard type user interfaces.
