I'm sure there's a more detailed version at CFD. But I love that Noah produces professional grade work that can actually inform public discussions on defence in Canada.
This is only half the puzzle. The Sense chart should be equally illuminating.

The third component of how to actually link sensors with decision makers to effectors would be great as well.
I wonder if there is any specific planning focused on the number of tgts desired to be struck across the range bands. That would inform the actual number of munitions needed in total and on actual launchers.

Yeah. But hard to find one in the public domain that has all the planned munitions and their launch platforms in a CAF specific context.

I msg'd him about some of his arbitrary choices. Pointed out that a lot of the weapons listed on there are not Deep Strike ones (like Direct Fire AT weapons or short range mortars etc...). Not sure where the line is but I would argue if it doesn't go beyond 25nm (horizon at sea, approx 40km) then its not deep strike.
His response was he just wanted a graphic for his own understanding so he doesn't get confused and agreed that not everything on there was deep strike but wanted a chart that covered off the range bands for all the new weapons and systems, to show the systematic thinking the CAF is putting into this. Solid guy, always pleasant when I've interacted with him on social media.
It would be interesting to overlay some of the current weapon systems on there. The list would be pretty small I think. 120mm, M777 and perhaps Harpoon (for naval strike not land attack) would be the only weapons of worth.
On the naval side it isn't worth it to put things that are visual range. That's just a self defence gun/weapon, not a strike weapon.
