Fallen Soldiers Returning Home

OTTAWA, Ont. - Our fallen soldiers, Master Corporal Allan Stewart and Trooper Patrick Pentland, members of the Royal Canadian Dragoons (RCD) based in Petawawa, Ontario, are scheduled to return home to Canada tomorrow.
Where: 8 Wing Trenton, Canadian Forces Base Trenton, Ontario.
When: Sunday, April 15, 6:30 p.m.
What: Media are invited to view the arrival; however no interviews will be given.
Present to pay their respects will be The Minister of National Defence, Gordon O’Connor, and other dignitaries.
These two soldiers were killed and two others were injured, one seriously, when a roadside bomb exploded near their vehicle, 11 April 2007. The incident occurred shortly before 8 p.m. Kandahar time, approximately 38 km west of Kandahar City. The soldiers had been assisting another vehicle that had been struck by a roadside bomb earlier in the day, one soldier suffered only minor injuries in this earlier attack.
