My line is automatic weapons and things like operational bazookas or CarlGs and M72s. I see no reason for private ownership of those.

I tend to stay away from politics there. And most of my interest is in Enfields and Martinis. I do also shoot a bunch of black powder.

A pretty classless protest against the PS minister today at the Almonte Gun Show. No matter how much you dislike the guy, he's trying to do the job he's paid to do. That's he's failing miserably is another issue. But this is not on, particularly at a public event where children may be present.

Classless or not stealing property (which when you say you may or may not pay you for the property you declared illegal is) from law abiding citizens just to suit political aims isn’t cool.

Being paid to do a job doesn’t make it right. Just following orders isn’t a excuse.

Right now I have lost over a few grand of value out of my personal property due to these jackasses (not to mention the tens of thousands of dollars of handguns I can no longer transfer) who are just playing politics well letting real criminals go free for the same reason.

Maybe we need more classless displays to show them how little tolerance we have for their actions.

Just because something is legal doesn’t make it right. Just because something is illegal doesn’t make it wrong.

And generally I don’t approve of classless displays. But when the other side won’t listen to reason due to ideology maybe it is time to try a different tactic.

Agreed, but this ain't it. Make no mistake, I am not defending the PS minister, even if he is my boss. He needs to go, along with the Trudeau era gun policies. But his replacement will defintely be worse for us.

Gary is way out of his depth and is desperately trying to stay on message that "guns are bad!". Right up to last week when in committee he claimed, repeatedly, that an inanimate object, a hammer, was partly to blame for the death of a young woman who was bludgeoned with it.

The difference here is that the Chretien piece was done by a rival political party (which, in my view, makes it worse) but the Almonte stunt was done by private citizens.

It's pretty easy to paint the community as racist hillbillies when people do dumb things like this. It's a classic example of smooth brains not thinking beyond "haha this funny right now", and failing to consider the potential repercussions/consequences of their actions.

We are at the point where it doesn’t matter how literate or not people present themselves. We have tried the long nice game, meanwhile they keep changing the rules in their favour and slowly but steadily restricting and reducing our freedoms.

It isn’t my tactic of choice (I personally try the reasonable approach), however the ignorant emotion filled ‘don’t tread on me, over my dead body method’ does get results.

Politicians and anti establishment types have been portrayed on urinal targets forever. Hanoi Jane made her visit to North Vietnam in '72. Her urinal target appeared in the late 70's. It is still a major seller. I've seen it in American Legions, VFW's and Viet Nam Veterans Clubs. 50+years on, it's still popular.

It's not about people being offended or not, it's about if people take you seriously. If I were a neutral about something, and then this were to be what I was seeing, obviously I'm not gonna agree with people pissing on a photo of a person! First impressions matter a lot. It would be easy for this person to say, "oh, well these people are pissing on my face! Who will you side with, the politician or the people who piss on other people?"

Also, to say that there are no liberals at gun shows doesn't make any sense. 43% of people voted liberal in the last election, to say that there won't be any is a bit of an understatement.

Are you referring to the "Don't tread on me" with the rattlesnake in the USA? The flag (or mantra in general) associated with rednecks, hillbillies, those sort of people? I guess it gets results, but we are a country based on civility and righteousness and liberalism (as in the sense of Neoliberalism, not the liberal party)...
When I think of these types of people, I think of the clip of the libertarian talking about how the government wants to make a license to put toast in your own damn toaster

I lean more conservative, but this crap pushes me away too.

Where I come from, being respectful is the baseline for communication. If people are disrespectful, they aren't taken seriously. This sort of behaviour, ignored or supported by the firearms community at large, just makes the gun grabbers jobs easier.
