Pretty straight forward question. I think if more did so a lot of issues between the DS and the membership could be avoided.

I think the chance that someone will read a document is inversely proportional to it's length. Short guidelines: well read. Long guidelines... not so much. That's why the big items are in point form and highlighted at the bottom.

But how many people actually read everything the computer world throws at them? You click through the boxes on software that contains agreements to get on with using the program.
I think the guy that said use common sense is what most people are counting on doing....only problem is that common sense is not all that common!! ;D

Perhaps then the poll should also contain a question: Have you read the Guidelines and how much of them have you retained? An example answer might be as follows: Yes, I have read the Guidelines but my retention level is at... what is your name again? level

I agree, 9er, with all the elderly individuals on this site and the Alshimmering...Alshooting...Als-something, going on they should have kept the rules to a minimum.  My pea brain can't retain what I had to eat today. They should just say, "I promise to be a good boy/girl and not upset others".

I think I used kind of a "drive by touch" technique, which rendered me a few verbals back at the beginning.  A couple of PM's, some after-the-fact reading and I think I get it now.  I at least re-read my post before I fire it off, and sometimes just cancel the whole thing all together. 
Probably still don't get it right....

You betcha baby...nothing worse than someone who talks too much (or writes too much)! My Niner Delta doesn't permit it at all! Ha ha....I was taught in Seminary that if you haven't hit oil after 10 minutes...stop boring!!
Let's put it this way if you're going to get overly legalistic or pendantic I'll find other places to spend my time and energies...I get enough of that in my day to day dealings with the bean counters and bureaucrats.
Keep it simple and let's all enjoy!! ;D
