The "New World" seems to me to be getting messier.
I am going to assume a UN faction that broadly approves of the world order as it was since 1944. That faction, represented in Green, voted with Ukraine.
Three other factions are in evidence. The Russian faction which apparently includes the current US administration and which opposed the UN faction. The Chinese faction which ostentatiously abstained and chose not to align with either the UN or the Russian faction. And then there is an increasingly large faction of nations that ae choosing not to vote - either rejecting the factional war and/or the authority of the UN completely.
The Security Council is a dead letter. It has no legitimacy. Its legitimacy was originally premised on beating fascism. That was rapidly superseded by the brute force nuclear weapons. Now those weapons have lost their lustre. Too many other nations have them. And, more importantly, with every passing red line, it has become more apparent that they have no practical application. They are more likely to remain unused unless an accident occurs or a radical gets ahold of them. They have become a very expensive liability.
The UN is voting against the Security Council. Russia, China and the US are pursuing their own parochial interests and making that very obvious. The UK and France are voting with the General Assembly.
The General Assembly is largely associated with the Thalassians of Oceania. The Eurasian mindset seems to have seized the US. The interiors of South America, Africa and Asia are conforming to the Arc of Instability.
