Indeed, so busy I had to sail to fill a PO 2 billet... Not that I'm complaining.If you want the opportunity to deploy and travel, we cant be beat. And since reconstitution means the opposite in the RCN we've just gotten busier!

Russian political philosopher based in UK who has fascinating insights into the Russian mind and has been right far more than wrong. He has a way of explaining post grad level concepts that educate you at the same time. Unusual for a youtuber (treating audience as thinking adults)
Vlad Vexler, Perun, Anders Puck Nielson, William Spaniel, Ryan McBeth, James Ker Lindsey, Jonathan Fink and Jake Broe are all always worth the time to watch/listen. Add Georgijs Ivanovs, Konstantin Samoilov, Oleksandr Stanislavovych, Gregory Terry, 'The Red Line' podcast and the Telegraphs 'Ukraine, the latest' and 'Battle lines' and your drive will always be informative. Georgijs, Okeksandr, Konstantin and Gregory often have sources and information far better and earlier than the media - both social and mainstream.

Today, as part of the surge of assistance that President Biden directed ahead of his meeting with President Zelenskyy, the Department notified Congress of the intent to direct the drawdown of up to approximately $5.55 billion in defense articles and services from DoD stocks for military assistance to Ukraine under Presidential Drawdown Authority.
This drawdown utilizes the remaining authority of the Presidential Drawdown Authority under section 506(a)(1) of the Foreign Assistance for fiscal year 2024 provided by the Ukraine Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2024, which will expire on September 30, 2024. We are taking this step to ensure this Authority does not expire and the United States can fully utilize the funding appropriated by Congress.
By doing so, the United States will be able to continue to provide a surge in defense articles and services to Ukraine from DoD stocks under planned drawdowns in the weeks and months ahead. These drawdowns have been made possible by strong bipartisan support from Congress.
The United States is committed to supporting the Ukrainian military with the equipment they need to strengthen their position on the battlefield, defend their territory and people from the Kremlin’s brutal aggression, and prevail in this war to secure a just, lasting, and comprehensive peace. As President Biden has made clear, the United States and the international coalition we have assembled will continue to stand with Ukraine.

AIR/MISSILE WAR
After running at least three major UAV strikes on three different ammo depots in Russia – which, according to different estimates, might have destroyed up to 80,000 tons of artillery ammunition, rockets and missiles – Ukraine took a few days off in this regards. Obviously, the output of the UAV industry is still not sufficient to keep the rate of such attacks at the necessary levels.
Which reminds me of something I intended to cover already the last weekend, but did not manage to do for lack of time. Namely, RUMINT has it that – sometimes the last week – the People’s Republic of China imposed strict limitations on export of UAV-related equipment and spares to Ukraine (while at the same time reinforcing its exports of contraband to Russia). Accordingly, the Chinese de-facto cut off the export of crucial parts for Ukrainian UAVs. RUMINT also has it, this promptly resulted in a major problem with production of UAVs and – especially – FPVs in Ukraine. And that it’s going to take months to solve..
