Thought someone here could help me...

My girlfriend is spending a few days on the HMCS Halifax as a civvy guest, and I'd like to keep track of the weather in the general area she happens to be in while they're on ex.

Any web pages with decent (and non-met-tech understandable) weather over the mid-Atlantic?  I can find weather for the port of departure, but I'm having trouble finding anything decent beyond, and I figured someone here might know open source links along these lines.

Post or PM, either is OK.

Thanks!

I've been a big fan of this site.

updated often and you can see the progression of any big storms

There's a lot of data on the NHC site - I think the best info for the layperson can be found on this page - http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/marine_forecasts.shtml

Try the text high seas forecasts, and graphical sea state analysis.
